Our Youth Ministry Program, under Erin Ferrone’s leadership, has been growing. The Sunday youth nights enjoy a consistent number of great teens, and the Friday afternoon 8th grade hangouts remain as popular as ever. Last year’s Luke 18 and this year’s Homeless City Retreat were both very positive experiences for the participants.
With the stable and consistent growth, the program needs the support of a full-time director of Youth Ministry. As we begin our search to hire for this position, Erin has graciously agreed to stay on as long as necessary for us to find the right fit to lead Youth Ministry. She will also assist with the onboarding process to ensure continuity and stability for the teens who regularly come. St. Peter is committed to hiring an experienced Youth Minister with demonstrated success. For more information about the position, go to stpeterkirkwood.org/youth-minister
We are grateful for the support from the parish, most especially for the generosity of the Youth Ministry Core Team who help run the youth nights. Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
The mission of St. Peter Youth Ministry is to provide authentic communities where the young people of Kirkwood pursue ownership of their faith.
St. Peter High School Youth Group is a place for teens, grades 9-12, to come eat, hangout, pray, look at how God is active in their lives today and learn how they can go and be active Christians in the world. We are beginning to develop a much more consistent and comprehensive middle school youth group. If you think God is calling you to serve the middle school youth of this parish through intentional relationships, sharing your life and faith, and giving them a safe and fun community, then contact Fr. Archer at carcher@stpeterkirkwood.org to talk about it.
