What is SPICE?
Special People In Catholic Education (SPICE) is a program to support all ages with unique needs in our St. Peter Parish and Schools.
SPICE brings about discussion and awareness to embrace young and old.
SPICE serves as a means to raise funds to employ needed personnel for support in whatever areas deemed necessary by our pastor, principals and board members.
SPICE supports the parish of St.Peter in its philosophy that every person is special.

Why SPICE?
We are all called to be inclusive, but when our parish can not adequately accommodate those with differences, we are not fully welcoming them into our parish family. Our desire to be inclusive challenges us to make accommodations for those in need so we can accept the gifts they offer our St. Peter family. When we open our eyes and see the need, we open our hearts and address what has been revealed to us.

SPICE in Action
Our parish is an extension of our family, the base unit of the Catholic Church. Just as parents try to do all they can for their children, our parish family tries to do all that it can for our members.SPICE is currently allowing our parish community to provide additional funding for the following :
- Early Childhood Speech Screenings at no cost to parents
- Grants to help families afford evaluations, therapies, and tutoring
- Continuing education for our teachers and support staff

How Can You Help SPICE?
Our future funding needs include:
- Monsignor Jack Costello Endowment Fund for ongoing support of the SPICE program. GOAL: $1,000,000
- Special Fund for assistance as may be warranted (I.e. tutoring, therapy or nurse coordinator). GOAL: $50,000
- State-of-the-Art resource room(s) to include equipment and programs that help all students become successful learners. GOAL: $25,000
- Funding for continuous education programs and development of staff. GOAL: $10,000
Your prayers, commitment and financial support are all needed for the success of the SPICE Program at St. Peter Catholic Church. All are equally important and we thank you for whatever you can do.
