Prepare your heart before Holy Week with communal prayer and individual Reconciliation.
Reconciliation is also offered at the following times during Lent
Tuesdays and Fridays, 7:15 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
(In addition to Saturdays, 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.)
Parish children are prepared in the fall in their full-time school and PSR religion classes in 2nd grade to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. We are happy to welcome and include parish Catholic Home School families. First Reconciliation is typically celebrated on a Saturday in January. All families are required to have a parent in attendance at the informational meeting held in the fall each year. Special Scripture stories of the Parable of the Forgiving Father and the Great Commandment anchor the preparation, which includes the Beatitudes and the Ten Commandments, conscience and making choices, prayer and how to go to confession. Children and their parents decorate votive candles to light after they have received the sacrament for the first time. Christ, the Light of the world, welcomes them to the sacrament of mercy and love!
