Ordained a priest in 1995, Fr. O’Toole has been assigned to several parishes in the Archdiocese as well as ten years as a chaplain and priest in high school ministry.
Fr. O’Toole became pastor of St. Peter Church in Kirkwood in June 2021 and looks forward to building on the great history of the parish and continuing the dynamic ministries that make this a vibrant community.
Fr. Charlie Archer, Associate Pastor
Fr. Archer was born and raised in St. Louis, in St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish. He attended SLUH and the University of Dallas before entering Kenrick Glennon Seminary in 2016. After serving this past year as a deacon at St. Clare of Assisi, he was ordained a priest on May 19, 2021, along with five other classmates.
In his first homily at St. Peter, he gave two reasons that he became a parish priest for St. Louis: “First, I love how parish priesthood resembles the life of Jesus Christ. The parish priest, like Jesus’s own ministry, is radically available to all people to be their Spiritual Father. Second, I love the city of St. Louis. Although this city certainly has some tumultuous history, I love belonging to this city and desire to serve here as a priest. It is only through the love of Jesus Christ present in the Church that this city will find healing and renewal.”
