Liturgy & Worship at St. Peters
Lectors study, reflect upon, and proclaim God's Word at Sunday Masses and other liturgical celebrations throughout the year. Lectors are provided with study guides and are scheduled well in advance. Currently, all lectors are expected to at tend an annual meeting for the purposes of formation in ministry. Eucharistic Ministers are certified lay ministers who can serve in two capacities: assist in distribution of the Eucharistic elements (the Body and Blood of Christ) during Eucharistic celebrations in Church, and/or take communion to the sick, elderly, and shut-ins of the community. (Certification is granted when a formation class is taken. The Pastor has the discretion to use Eucharistic Ministers without certification). These parishioners welcome those arriving for weekend and Holy Day Masses, take up weekly offering collections, control the flow of communicants, pass out parish bulletins and perform any other necessary tasks. Ushers contribute effectively toward making the worship experience a devout one for parishioners and visitors alike. Eight ushers are needed for each Mass on the weekend. Music and Choir
St. Peter Parish has been blessed with a wonderful music ministry that enhances our worship at our weekend liturgies and other special occasions. Parishioners of all ages are welcome to participate in the music ministry and share their talents with the parish. Opportunities include Adult or Contemporary Choir or Cantor program.

The Liturgy Committee is made up of parishoners interested in learning about the Church's worship. Members also take part in study and planning liturgical celebrations for our parish family. Meetings are held monthly.

Altar Guild and Sacristans
This group of parishioners cleans the church and prepares the altar for seasonal liturgies, presenting to the Lord a restful and orderly place conducive to prayer and worship. Assistance is always needed.

Eucharistic adoration is held in the St. Peter Eucharistic Adoration Chapel located off the courtyard adjacent to the east side of the church building. Everyone is invited to come anytime for some quiet prayer before Jesus, present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Prayers for Children During Eucharistic Adoration
Children's Liturgy of the Word
On Sunday mornings during the 9:00 AM Mass, children in grades one through five attend their own Liturgy Of The Word in the Rectory basement. The children are dismissed with the leaders of the Word of God after the Opening Prayer and return during the preparation of the gifts.
